Club Lexus Members Weigh in on their Favorite Car Interiors

Your interior is where you spend most of your time, and it’s an important component of the driving experience that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. Of course, if you’re driving a Lexus, you value a luxurious interior in your car, whether you care more for performance or comfort.

A recent Club Lexus forum thread started by member UDel asked fellow owners about their favorite car interiors. Some preferred plush luxury, while others preferred more spartan, driving-focused interiors. And while Lexus remains everyone’s favorite car of choice, there were a few other favorites name-dropped. Check out the comments that the thread inspired and see how Lexus stacks up to its famous fellow luxury rides.

‘The Lexus SC version is nicer [than the Toyota Supra’s interior]: better leather, better materials, better layout, better color scheme, cool electrolumencent gauges… As far as exotics, I love how stripped out and minimalist the interior is in the Ferrari F40.’

‘I like the pre-’74 MGB interiors. Simplistic straight forward. The gauges are large and clear. The gear shift is in the perfect place… I’m about the driving experience. I don’t need lights, Bluetooth, a radio so loud I can’t hear the car. The MGB just had it just right to me.’

‘Love the SC 430’s [interior], the best for a mass production model in the first few years after it came out.’

‘The SC 430 has an amazing interior. Also, LS430. [We can] argue whether the center stack dates it or not, but it’s a damn nice place to be regardless.’

— AJT123

‘Some really old Bentleys and Rolls Royces are impressive. They had almost no plastic to disintegrate and fade over time.’
