Well, folks, the verdict is in. We had been wondering what Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson would think of the new Lexus RC F. Now we know … and wish we didn’t.
The UK’s Silverstone is a legendary circuit, and this recent track day featured some legendary cars. In this video, it looks like the LFA is hot on the heels of the LaFerrari.
The LFA is—by all accounts—a phenomenal car. Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson famously even called it the best car he’d ever driven. But when the V10 supercar completed its two-year run in 2012, it left no clear heir. And we should feel lucky it happened at all.
Wrecked Magazine has posted this teaser shot of Yoichi Imamura’s Lexus LFA drift car. And while it confirms our worst fears—the glorious V10 has been swapped for a TRD V8—the pic raises more questions than it answers.
On the surface, the idea of watching a car get detailed might sound about as exciting as watching paint dry or an episode of The Mentalist. But when the car is an LFA, and the gents doing the detailing are the wizards from Houston’s Vive Auto Finishing and Detailing, it’s a different experience entirely.
