TORRANCE, Calif., March. 31, 2012 – In a surprise announcement, Lexus will reveal the all-new 2014 GS F mid-size luxury sports sedan at the 2012 New York Auto Show along with the new ES model.
If you haven’t done so by now, remember to advance your Lexus digital clock and Navigation to Daylight Savings Time.
The 2013 GS marks the beginning a new chapter for Lexus, and the company clearly has its game face on. The “Spindle Grille” front fascia is fresh and aggressive, and gives the grand sedan a menacing look.
Fans of VIP car culture might recognize these cars as Liberty VIP’s GS 400 and SC 430. Both are a masterclass in fitment and VIP style. There’s just something about a bagged, flush Lexus that oozes cool. Check out the video after the jump.
The good people at Lexus recently invited me out to Las Vegas Motor Speedway to test the new 2013 Lexus GS350 in Luxury and F Sport trim. Both flavors showed that Lexus continues to raise the bar in terms of affordable luxury.
With models like the LFA, IS F, and GS F Sport in its stable, it’s hardly a secret Lexus wants to move beyond pillow-soft luxury cars into serious high-performance territory. And if recent rumors are any indication, this strategic shift might also involve uprooting its corporate HQ.
