The ever-growing empire of Amazon is celebrating the success of Prime service again this year by offering customers deals on a variety of products during 'Amazon Prime Day.' Amazon has already started to announce some deals for Prime Day on July 16th, but the most interesting offer for the occasion is not necessarily a discounted product. 

Sweepstakes

Amazon is also having what they are calling the "Home-Smart-Home Sweepstakes" and the winner will receive a complete Alexa smart home set, a cash prize of fifty thousand dollars, a trip to Amazon's hometown of Seattle, and most importantly, a 2019 Lexus ES, as announced earlier this week. The deadline to enter the sweepstakes is July 16 at 12:00 am Pacific time.

Why Lexus?

The reason why Lexus has partnered up with Amazon for this promotion is that the two companies have been working together, bringing Alexa capability to the new Lexus ES, and perhaps other models in the near future. This is an exciting development that we hope to see incorporated by every auto manufacturer, to allow customers to add their vehicles to their family of smart devices.

Alexa for your Car

The interactive navigation system on the ES allows you to control your smart-home settings from your car, through your Android device. At the moment, iPhone compatibility is not yet available, but Lexus has promised to add it on later on in the year.

Entering

There are a number of ways to enter, all of which are pretty easy. According to Amazon, you could ask your Alexa device questions about the promotion that will automatically throw your name in the hat. You could also enter by watching Alexa-related videos, or simply enter through the Amazon app.

The ES

By now, most of us have seen what the new ES looks like. The updated design for the new generation gives the sedan an exciting and dynamic new look and it has been widely well-received. The cool new styling combined with the additional improvements in the product interaction and the interior design makes the ES one of the most desirable mid-size sedans on the market.

Worth a Shot

If Amazon's Alexa Smart Home and $50K isn't enough incentive, the new Lexus ES should do the trick. Though I am likely reducing my chances of winning the grand prize by sharing this information, I would advise my fellow Lexus lovers to at least give it a shot.
