Daily Slideshow: VIP LS460 is a Modern Classic
Nat Huynh has updated his Lexus LS460 through a series of modifications to make it a modern-day dream on four wheels.
Huynh takes his nearly ten-years-old VIP LS460 to various shows, giving onlookers a good up-close-and-personal look at exactly how a car should be put together. But you needn’t travel out to find him – flip through the following pages to learn more about Huynh’s prized vehicle.
Stunning paint job
One of the first things you’ll notice about this VIP-style Lexus is the paint. The car’s original color was white, and it was one of the first things Huynh wanted to change about it. The color he went with is a candy ‘brandywine’ job that’s very reactive to light. It’s red in light but in darker lighting situations, it turns to a nice, deep red wine color.

Black Pearl Kit
Huynh credits Josh White of Priola Bodyshop for the perfect fitment of the aggressive Black Pearl kit, which nicely compliments the car’s Wald fenders and rear wide-body. Take a closer look and you’ll note the car’s had an F Sport conversion carried out on the front end, which pairs well with the other aesthetic choices for the car.

Interior keepsakes and updates
Take a look inside and you’ll see a lot of high-end trim items from the factory. Huynh elected to improve and complement these features rather than completely tear them out. The seats have been beautifully re-stitched with matching floor mats. You’ll note the inside of the car has a healthy tinge of green thanks to the window tint that Huynh selected. The rear seats have been re-stitched too, and more of the same on the doors and custom woodwork for those sitting in the back.

Under the hood
Under the hood, the LS460 is just as good as it is everywhere else. An HKS supercharger sources some extra power for the already super-tourque-y 1UR-FSE V8. Take a look at the engine bay and note all of the factory-provided plastic covers that have since been removed. It’s all stainless steel and carbon fiber now, two of the best materials you could use.
