Daily Slideshow: Vampin' through Town in a Supercharged IS

This one-off Lexus was the brainchild of a Long Island detailer with vision and the dedication to see it through. It's an exercise in bringing together high performance, top-level quality, and some really flashy good looks.

Hoffman the dreamweaver

This 2006 VIP AWD Lexus IS 250 is the vision of well-known Long Island detailer Andrew Hoffmann, who brought the car into High End Performance in Farmingdale NY for some serious enhancements. Andrew wanted to do more with his car than make it shine and drop it into a show. He wanted high performance, top-level quality and, as a result, it was VIP-styled, supercharged, bagged, and fitted.

High End Performance jumps in

This six-year project took place primarily at High End Performance, a shop owned and operated by Manuel Ramdowe who has a history of building international project cars. Not all of the projects make it to the finish line, but thanks to Andrew and his team’s dedication, passion, and hard work, they were able to see it through to the end.

The white fitment alone is spectacular with Megan Rear camber arms and the Smokey Granite Mica paint complements the carbon fiber treatment you see in, out, and around this gorgeous vehicle.

Taking a walk on the wildside

On the outside, Hoffman’s Lexus rolls on 3pc forged Wes Kranze Vishunu wheels with upgraded SBC finish and red center caps. The Hankook tires are 19x10 and 19x11 staggered on AWD with Fsport lugs n locks. Up front the customer bumper was molded to fit the intercooler, giving it an open, smiling, almost wicked look. Vertex side shirts with puddle lights man the sides and an ISF rear bumper conversion with carbon fiber exhaust tips and diffuser are what you see as this machine passes you by. If you are lucky you will also catch a carbon fiber Vorsteiner ISF trunk, smoked taillights, 8k and 3k HIDS, carbon fiber roof spoiler, and JDM window visors just for the hell of it.

Carbon fiber everything

The interior of this IS 250 is lined with custom suede headliner with diamond sticking. All components have been dyed black and Junction Produce provided the curtains, neck pads, pillows, and other fine touches such as a tissue box. The interior also boasts LED upgrades, custom LED illuminated scuff plates, an additional carbon fiber touches on the steering wheel, console and A/C vents, and shift knob.

Under the hood

Under the hood, this engine is covered with sheets of carbon fiber. But it’s also been upgraded with a custom Vortech supercharger kid, Synapse BOV, custom piping, and an oil cooling kit. It also includes Fsport HKS axle back exhaust, custom midpipe, and dual electric cutout.

I was the dreamweaver, but now I'm reborn

There is more, but you’d have to get under the chassis to see what else Hoffman and friends cooked up. Overall, this IS 250 offers plenty of eye candy to turn your head and hold your gaze, but by now, about four years after its build, the car has been returned to the garage and parted out for Hoffman’s next dream car.
