Coming to a city near you

As part of a country spanning opportunity Lexus is giving countless individuals the chance to get some seat time in some of their peppiest offerings. For those who are curious about what cars will on tap the list will be the GS F, IS 350 F Sport, RC 350 F Sport, RC F, and the flagship LC 500 or the LC 500h. These events will be a full day or half day so that you can have an option that fits into your weekend no matter how much time you have. I mean come on now, are you really going to pass up the chance to put an LC 500 out on the track?

So what's going on?

The Tour Experience is geared to be an introductory event rather than a full on performance driving school that is put on normally. If you attend one of these events there will be Chalk Talk, Practice Autocross, Competition Autocross, and Drag Strip. The personal driving instruction with championship winning professionals alone will last about two hours and probably be worth coming out to the event by itself.

All the activities

For Chalk Talk, there will classroom instruction where you and your fellow participants will be briefed on driving dynamics, basic course safety, and how to push you along with your car to maximum performance. In Practice Autocross you will be placed in a car with an instructor where you will receive tips and pointers on what you can do to fine tune your skills. Competition Autocross is a timed challenge that will put you behind the wheel of the LC 500 as you race against fellow students sprint times to see who's the fastest. Drag Strip is exactly what it sounds like while also taking things a step further. First, you will hit sixty mph as fast as you can and then see how short of a distance can you bring the car back to zero once more.

Bring your biggest fan

If you sign up for the event just know that you are allowed to bring one other person with you but only as a spectator for insurance purposes. In addition to them being sidelined, there will also be a fee for them to join you on your Lexus filled day. Spectators are allowed to be in the classroom, food area, and session ending event but are not allowed to access any activity areas or cars. Also, it is of note that children are not allowed entry as spectators lest the little ones fall out of sight.

You can bring a camera, but......

If you want to get your day recorded by your spectator then that is fully permitted as long as it is not disruptive to the driving school. If you have a single Go Pro then it is permitted inside of the cabin as long as it has a secure mount. All handheld recording devices are not allowed. Period. In addition, make sure that you mount the Go Pro out of your range of movement as you are not allowed to make contact with your recording device.

A fun time indeed

If you are around the Fort Worth, Texas area near the end of July then you can catch the tour experience at the Texas Motor Speedway. If you are outside of Texas then there's no need to fret. Check out the website to see if and when Lexus will be coming to a city near you. Be sure to note whether the event near you is one of a four-hour half day or a full 9-hour track experience. If you are going to do a full day experience then breakfast and lunch will be provided while half day guests will be breakfast OR lunch depending on the time block chosen.
