Daily Slideshow: Rocket Bunny RC 350 F Sport Rolls on Air
If you've ever wondered how to spice up an RC350, click along to see the recipe.
Shaking Things Up
The RC350 is a visually striking example of Lexus' progression in styling and design. The brand has worked hard to shed its image of being the preferred vehicle of retirees all across the US. That said, the dynamics and performance of the RC350 leave a little something to be desired. So how do you amp up the heartbeat of the relaxed coupe? A Rocket Bunny body kit, a supercharger, airbags, and a big ass wing. Let's see how it all came together
Flares Everywhere
The Rocket Bunny kit contains angles and proportions foreign to the standard RC350. The bodywork has been inflated in certain areas like the rear quarter panels and lengthened in others. The Rocket Bunny effect is on full display in that the RC350 has graduated from attractive to eye-catching.
Shiny Shoes
The RC350's owner went all-in on the neck-snapping theme of the new Lexus. It's impossible to not notice the bling of the gold wheels. In contrast to the silky smooth black paint, the gold wheels demand the attention of passersby.
Ready for Takeoff
If the Rocket Bunny body kit and gold wheels weren't enough to distinguish this Lexus, the giant rear spoiler sure will. While it may not have a whole lot of function during regular city driving, it makes a statement when pictured in photos like these. The spoiler alludes to an ere of motorsport and a vehicle that has enough secret sauce to take your breath away.
Hidden Power
Building upon the stock 3.5 liter V6, the RC350 now features a supercharger for added power. Don't strain your eyes too hard, even with the strongest of concentration and focus you won't be able to see any signs of the powerplant's most impressive modification.
Junk in the Trunk
Tucked away in the trunk of the RC350 are the components for the AirREx air system and the upgraded stereo. The packaging is clean and doesn't take much away from the storage space of the luxury coupe.
Perfectly Accented
The interior of the standard RC350 is a handsome mix of leather and quality interior materials. Adding a gold roll cage takes nothing away from the Lexus' cool factor. Similar to the contrast of the black exterior paint and gold wheels, the interior contrast is a welcomed break in an otherwise dark and restrained interior.
Tailored But Comfortable
Tearing out the plush stock seats could've been a big risk. However, these Recaro seats are a big win for the interior. Their leather construction and spacey bolsters give off a vibe of luxury and comfort that might otherwise be lost with a race seat. The Sparco harnesses bring the seats together like a well-suited bow tie.
True to Form
Rounding out the interior is a fusion of Lexus old and new. The incorporation of carbon fiber trim alludes to Lexus' evolution and shift towards a sportier product. Conversely, the analog clock is a nod to the company's heritage.
Eye-Catching in Any Setting
Should you run into this RC350 on the street you'll fully understand the magnetism of the build. A black Lexus might not sound like a whole lot to look at. A lowered, Rocket Bunny, supercharged RC350 with a giant rear spoiler? That'll turn heads in any setting.
