Purist Group Winter Meet for Holiday Toy Drive
Daily Slideshow: Purist Group continuing their yearly efforts to restore faith in humanity.
Another one in the books
On December 9th, Purist Group held their 7th annual toy drive/car show to benefit needy children who might otherwise not have such a nice Christmas. The show over the years quickly grew into a hotly anticipated event that not only gave attendees a look at a plethora of great builds but also was a great excuse to give to those less fortunate. The show was held at the Industry Hills Expo Center in the City of Industry, CA.

What it's all about
These Purist Group holiday meetings started from the empathetic heart of someone who had been right where a lot of kids are. Sean Lee, the founder of Purist Group used his ability to bring people together to regularly attract over 5,000 cars and 10,000 people, all bearing items that run from school supplies to toys for local youth. Lee himself hand delivers every item to the children, seeing the pure joy that can wash over a surprised child's face. “For adults, toys mean nothing,” Lee says. “But think back to when you were younger. If your family had lost everything, including your favorite doll or favorite clothes, you don’t care about anything or even if you have food on the table.”
Cars everywhere
Guests had the pleasure of looking at cars by Bugatti, Pagani, Honda, Lexus, Koenigsegg, and Porsche among others. Out of all of these was one car that garnered a ton of attention from everyone: a BLITZ R348 Nissan Skyline.
For all the boys and girls
This event draws people from far and wide with makes and models that span across the decades and countries. This year's event hosted over 100 vendors and 600 display cars that brought out over 8,000 people and over 10,000 toys with 1,500 backpacks.
Back to where it started
The Purist Group continues their charity work throughout the year by helping the homeless by running blanket and food drives and throwing car-themed fundraisers to fight autism. In the future, Lee hopes to return to his native homeland of Taiwan in order to help the kids there.
