1. Team Denso Kobelco SARD

Not only is Japan home to Lexus, it's also home to some seriously awesome racing action, some of the best of which happens on the Super GT circuit. Since 1994, the world's finest grand touring cars have battled it out on in various classes. This season, a total of 15 teams are competing for racing glory in the GT 500 class. Six of which are running Lexus LC 500s.

The SARD team has been around racing since 1972, when it was the first Japanese team to participate in Le Mans. Since then, they've campaigned a variety of Lexus and Toyota vehicles in various racing series across the globe. Last season, they took the Super GT Championship after scoring six consecutive wins. This year, the #1 car is aiming to repeat.

2. Team Le Mans Wako's

Team Le Mans has been active in racing since way back in 1969, and they've been in the race car business since 1967. They became fully independent back in 2000, which is also when they began racing Toyota vehicles exclusively, including the ones we know as Lexus models in the US.  The team has been pretty successful over that extended time frame, scoring a championship back in 2002 and finishing second to the SARD team last season. Aside from fielding a race team, Le Mans also builds prototypes and manufactures carbon fiber parts.

3. Team WedsSport BANDOH

BANDOH began racing touring cars in the 90's, moving to the GT 300 class of Super GT in 1997, which was also the year the team won their first championship. They went through several Toyota and Lexus cars over the years including a Celica and IS 350, before landing in the LC 500. Last season, BANDOH finished fourth in the standings with one win in Thailand.

TOM's has racked up quite an impressive record in Super GT racing, having won three drivers championships and five team titles since entering the series in 1995. This year, they're campaigning the #36 car with a pair of new drivers and a new director.
