1. Lexus LC 500h

The LC 500h hybrid coupe is no longer a secret to anyone with a pulse, but this gas-electric car is still a show stopper worthy of another look – and will be on display in Toronto this weekend. This two door 3.5L V6 boasts the all new Multi-Stage Hybrid System that includes two electric motors and a conventional four-speed automatic transmission. This means that the LC 500h can handle electric only driving up to 87 mph. For more details, check out this article.

2. Lexus Kinetic Seat Concept

Our first view of this new seat came last fall at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, but North America will be getting its first up close and personal look at it this weekend in Toronto. Designed with synthetic spider silk to move kinetically with occupant weight and external forces, this seat helps stabilize head movement and field of vision and offers more comfort than your standard seat. The spider web pattern net within the upholstery provides a flexible cushion that form fits around the driver and passenger and absorbs shock better than current seat technology. Check out the video at Lexus International.

3. Lexus LF-LC Concept

The Lexus LF-LC concept premiered at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Show, but it’s finally ready for its North American unveiling in Toronto. This first-ever fuel cell concept gives you the room of a sedan with the styling of a four-door coupe. It features 21” aluminum wheels with CFRP rims and floating L-shaped daytime running lights. Inside, the car offers advanced human-machine interface (HMI) that can be operated by simple hand gestures – no need to touch anything. The LF-FC also utilizes a high-output fuel-cell power system that that sends power to all wheels, essentially making this sporty sedan an all-wheel-drive.

4. Lexus UX

Clearly the entry level crossover Lexus NX was not enough. The Lexus UX concept was created at the Lexus’s European Design Center as a styled subcompact crossover with a coupe-like profile, and bulging fenders wrapped around massive wheels. It is said to be a luxurious variant of the equally bold Toyota C-HR which goes on sale later this year. This four-seater crossover looks like an off-road vehicle with low ground clearance and 21” tires. Like the LF-LC, this crossover also boasts the Lexus Human Machine Interface and the Kinetic Seat Concept to further enhance the driving experience. 5. Lexus 360 Virtual Reality Experience

OK, it’s not a car, but it’s a technology that allows you to experience driving the RC F on the Ascari racetrack in Spain. The 3-D glasses enable you to feel like you are in the cockpit. This 3-minute experience switches between interior, exterior, passenger viewpoints, super fast trackside shots, and unique exterior on-car shots that give dramatic “thrill ride” angles.  “At Lexus, we are determined to push the boundaries in everything we do, whether that’s in the design of our cars or the way we market our products to customers," said Spiros Fotinos, head of European marketing, Lexus, Brussels, Belgium. "For the RC F, we have created an amazing virtual reality experience that can be enjoyed and shared by anyone, anywhere – without the traditional hardware limitations."
