Lexus Race Cars and SUVs (photos)

1. Lexus RC F GT3

This 2017 Lexus RX F GT3 is set to race in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The 3GT Racing team has four drivers: Scott Pruett, Sage Karam, and the other two will be announced soon. The RC F GT3 race cars sell to race teams, and they come equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine, which develops 540 horsepower.

2. Lexus LFA

This LFA was raced by the Gazoo Racing team in the 24 hours Nurburgring endurance race. Although the LFA was based on mass-production and not solely for racing, it's still extremely close in performance to the GT3. This LFA driven by Akio Toyoda delivered impressive speed and handling in the endurance race. The race car is equipped with a 5.3-liter V-10 engine.

3. Lexus IS F

This Lexus IS F was set to race in the Superstars International Racing Series in Italy. Mauer Racing sold this car to an Australian Lexus dealership. This IS F is equipped with a 4.7-L V-8 engine, which produces approximately 600 horsepower. The car was later used as a demonstration vehicle, as well as a test car for customer experience days.

4. Lexus LX570

This Lexus LX570 raced at the 2012 Baja 1000 race. The Baja race started from Ensenada, and it went on for 1,000 miles to La Paz, Mexico, which took approximately 35 hours. Joe Bacal was the driver of this STOCK Lexus LX570, which was something that has never been done before at a Baja race.

5. Lexus LC GT500

Lexus is planning on replacing the RC F with the LC Coupe GT500 in the 2017 Super GT Series in Japan. The Lexus LC GT500 Coupe features a V-4 direct injection engine, coupled with a six-speed sequential transmission. This LC GT500 was developed by TRD Japan, and it is set to make its first race in September of 2017.
