RC

Significantly, in their press materials for the upcoming 2018 Paris Auto Show, which will feature three separate debuts for the brand, Lexus mentions the world debut of their new RC coupe first. Citing their “strategy to bring a stronger emotional quality to [Lexus’] vehicles” as the guiding principle behind the reimagined RC, the manufacturer seeks to attach some of the flagship LC’s luxury cache to the more affordable RC coupe. The new RC will reportedly incorporate the brand’s current forward-looking styling cues as well as refinements in handling and responsiveness.

Sharp Yet Smooth

In addition, Lexus has launched a special marketing campaign for the RC, a model they explicitly cite as an “entry point to Lexus coupe ownership.” Lexus says the campaign, which claims its own hashtag, #SharpYetSmooth, will take the place of the usual auto show stand press conference and will “tell the story of the new reimagined RC and Lexus brand values,” as well as divulging as yet unrevealed details. Those details will include, among other things, color, interior, and exterior options, as well as powertrain specifications.

LC

Second on the Paris show agenda is the new LC Yellow Edition, named for the car’s Flare Yellow exterior finish, which incorporates a “painstaking selection” of multi-layered paint colors. The special edition will also feature all of the performance upgrades found on Lexus’ top of the line LC Sport+ iteration.

LC Interior

Inside the award-winning LC interior, motorists will find the company’s heads-up display, joined by an always-wonderful Mark Levinson Reference sound system. The Yellow Edition name also applies to the swaths of yellow upholstery added to the stylish interior’s otherwise black and white color scheme. What’s black and white and red yellow all over? The Lexus LC Yellow Edition.

ES

The Paris Auto Show will also serve as the European debut of the brand's seventh-generation ES luxury sedan. Sporting an all-new chassis, the ES will go toe-to-toe with entries from rivals Jaguar (XF), BMW (5-Series), Audi (A6), and Mercedes-Benz (E-Class). Aside from Lexus’ peerless dependability, the automaker seeks to differentiate itself from the competition with the same sharp exterior styling and responsive driving experience dialed into models across the brand.

UX

Lexus is counting on the new UX compact crossover, which will also grace their stands in Paris, to help push the manufacturer over their European sales goal of 100,000 vehicles annually, to be achieved by the year 2020. What better way to start selling crossovers than to open the order books, and that’s exactly what Lexus will do in Paris. The UX is also poised to lead a movement away from diesel and towards self-charging hybrid technology, in which Toyota’s Lexus brand is, of course, a leader. The 2018 Paris Auto show opens to the press on October 2nd and to the general public two days after. -Merci, Le Club Lexus
