Some Call It Fate

We all fall into the world of Lexus in different ways, whether that be intentional or not. But Club Lexus member trinhtd came across his Lexus IS almost by accident. It all started when he totaled his Infiniti, then began his hunt for a suitable replacement. Little did he know at the time how serious (and awesome) things would eventually turn out.

Striking Out

"After 6 months, I found a car in SC," trinhtd said. "So I bought a one-way ticket to fly out, buy the car, and visit a buddy of mine that lived close to the dealership. I find out the day before flying out they had sold the car. I still wound up flying out there because I found another car at a dealership close by. But then, I found out when I got there that the car is actually at their sister dealership three hours away."

Sealing the Deal

At that point, trinhtd was obviously frustrated and just ready to go home. But his buddy convinced him to take one more look around, and that's when he found a clean Lexus IS350 F Sport nearby. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Planning Ahead

If there was any doubt as to trinhtd's intentions of finding the right car, it's pretty clear he had been planning this for a while. "Before I even found the car I had already purchased D2 struts, a Seibon CF lip, side skirts, a diffuser, AEM CAI, Invidia A300 axleback exhaust, Brakenetic slotted rotors, and control arms because I was dead set on getting a 3IS."

More Goodies

Exactly one month later, all of those goodies were installed. And it wasn't long before a whole new wave of mods took place. He soon picked up a set of 20" Avant Garde F242 wheels, hydro-dipped the engine bay, swapped out the steering wheel with a custom CF one from DCTM, added a CF Seibon trunk, and installed an Invidia Q300 mid-pipe.

Keep Going

Of course, trinhtd isn't even close to done yet. He's currently working on adding an ARK Solus widebody, new 19" AG wheels, Braum racing seats, and a whole host of carbon fiber interior accents.

Tragedy to Triumph

We see plenty of tragedy to triumph stories here in the forums, but few as detailed and determined as this one. So be sure and head over here to stay tuned as this killer build continues to evolve!
