Waste No Time

For the most part, buying a new car is a big deal. And at least for a while, most folks just enjoy their shiny new rides as is. But that certainly wasn't the case with Club Lexus member jimmymac30 and his Lexus IS. Instead, he waited until the car had a whopping 580 miles before tearing into it.

Visual Upgrades

With the paint barely dry, jimmymac30 went ahead and got cracking on some visual upgrades. That included 19" F-Sport wheels, RSR Super Down springs, a Seibon carbon fiber spoiler, and an eBay lip and side skirts.

Cabin Upgrades

Interior upgrades were also on the list, and a DCT Motorsports carbon fiber steering wheel and shift knob went a long way in giving this Lexus a sportier feel and look in the cabin.

Rounding Out

An RC F gauge cluster, 35% tint, RC F brake upgrade, and RC F steering bushings rounded out this initial list. And for good measure, jimmymac30 painted all the exterior trim pieces to match.

Factory Fresh

While folks sometimes tend to go off the rails a bit, this combination of parts proves that jimmymac30 has good taste and even better vision. This IS looks like it could have come from Lexus spec'd exactly like this, in fact.

Ultimate Compliment

And that's perhaps the ultimate compliment. Anybody can drop a wad of cash on parts, but very few can make a bunch of different stuff work harmoniously together.

Pay the Cost

So how much did all of these upgrades cost? Well, jimmymac30 is afraid to add it all up, so we don't really know. But we're betting those Brembo brakes accounted for a big chunk of the expenditure.

Standing Out

But hey, you can't really put a price on happiness, can you? And that outlay of cash was well worth it in our opinion, especially now that jimmymac30 has a very unique IS that truly stands out from the crowd.

No Regrets

It certainly took a leap of faith to start wrenching away on a brand new Lexus, but jimmymac30 obviously made the correct decision here. And we doubt he regrets any of it.

Stay Tuned

Even though we'd be pretty happy with this ride just the way it sits, we're guessing there are plenty of mods still to come. So be sure and head over here to stay tuned for future updates!
