1. Lexus ES

The ES name stands for "Executive Sedan," though some Lexus importers prefer to call it, "Elegant Sedan.” Regardless, this series has been in run since 1989; early models are compact, then mid-size, and later full-size luxury sedans. In total, there have been six generations of the sedan introduced to date. Each offers V6 engines and a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. Worth noting: the first five generations of the ES were built on the Toyota Camry platform, with the sixth generation more closely related to the Avalon.

2. Lexus GS

A mid-size luxury sedan that has long been considered a reliable vehicle within the Lexus owners' circle, it’s backed by a bounty of awards, including JD Power and Associates naming it the best midsize luxury car in quality from 2002-2005. The first generation was introduced in 1993 with a six-cylinder engine and rear wheel drive. The fourth-generation premiered in 2011 and featured a 6-powered GS 350, hybrid GS 450h, and performance-tuned F Sport variants. In short, no matter the year of the GS, you’re guaranteed a terrific drive.

3. Lexus LS

According to several studies, the LS400, LS430 and LS460 are among the only ultra-high-end luxury vehicles that go against the trend of having dubious reliability and maintenance issues upon trade-in. These cars are driven for a super long time and accumulate several thousands of miles on the odometer, with little to no wear-and-tear on the car itself. Simply put, these are phenomenally engineered vehicles.

4. Lexus IS250

While the IS250 is far from being one of the more powerful vehicles Lexus has under its umbrella, it is one of the more comfortable rides. To this end, it’s what makes this car a keeper – the interior is lined with high quality materials and thoughtful placement of buttons on controls. So, while the car might only have a 204hp engine, it is a luxurious ride.

5. Lexus GX470

Situated between its crossover counterpart, the RX, and the premium full-size LX, the GX470 (which stands for Grand Crossover) is the third SUV to enter the Lexus lineup. A five-speed automatic has always been standard, as is a full-time four-wheel-drive system with low-range gearing. The 4.7-liter V8 engine in the GX470 was the same as used on the larger LX470. All told, it’s a solid SUV with more space than the RX, and it's less expensive than the LX.

6. Lexus LX470

The LX470 is a full-size luxury sport utility vehicle sold by Lexus since January, 1996. Three generations have been produced. The second and third generations had a V8 engine powertrain, a welded steel uni-body shell combined with full-size steel ladder frame (body-on-frame construction), and seats for eight passengers (LX470). The first generation is considered a mid-size SUV — it has an inline-6 engine and seats for seven passengers. The LX is Lexus' largest and most expensive luxury SUV; as such, its owners consider it a long-term investment.

7. Lexus RX350

The Lexus RX350 dominates the crossover category. It comes with a 3.5L V6 that puts out 270hp, which is plenty of power for one’s daily commute. Additionally, it is rated for towing up to 3,500 lbs, so it’s pretty versatile. Fuel economy is respectable for the crossover category at 18/25mpg. The vehicle features a fantastic interior, complete with comfortable leather seats and a mix of wood and steel trim. The cabin is spacious with plenty of room in the backseats, as well as more than enough cargo room.
