1. Colombia River Highway

If you want a trip with some impressive scenery, Portland, Oregon should be your next destination. Columbia River Highway is filled with mesmerizing scenic views, waterfalls, and rivers. Take your Lexus on a trip and drive through the famous tunnel on the Historic Columbia River; just don't forget your camera.

2. Route 66

The famous Route 66 will take you on a historic trip. Route 66 goes from Chicago, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico, then to Arizona and California. It doesn't matter where you start or where you finish, you just need to drive and look around at the open desert, as well as the famous stops along the way.

Honestly, you need to see it to believe it. Mount Rushmore is an iconic historic must-see destination in America. Sculpted by Danish-American Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum, the mountain features 60 foot high sculptures of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham LincolnIt is considered one of the largest works of arts in the world. Visit Mount Rushmore, take some pictures, and experience one of the boldest statements of American pride around.

6. Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona, and it features 227 miles of fascinating nature, as well as larger than life canyon walls. When you stand on one of the walls, you will feel how small you are, how big the world is, and how smart you are to have made this trip.

7. Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is one of America's most iconic suspension bridges. It is located in San Francisco, California, and it's 1.7 miles long over the ocean, connecting the city of San Francisco with Marin County to the North. Being this close to something you are used to seeing only in post cards is simply awe-inspiring. While you are in San Francisco, be sure to visit Alcatraz, the retired prison that held some of America's most known criminals, including Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelly, and Robert Stroud, aka "The Birdman of Alcatraz."
