Lexus has some of the industry's top luxury hybrids in its lineup. Here are the models with the best MPG.
Lexus RX 350h: 37/34 MPG (36 Combined)
Lexus as a brand is regarded as one of, if not the top automaker in the category of premium hybrids. The only thing better than luxury is practical luxury. And the 2023 Lexus RX 350h has that in spades. With a spacious package and a combined gas mileage of 36 MPG, the hybrid-powered RX is a top choice among family vehicles.
Lexus NX 350h: 41/37 MPG (39 Combined)
The smaller sibling of the RX, the NX 350h AWD has nearly all the same characteristics as the aforementioned RX, but in a more compact package. Its smaller size results in less interior space. But it also means easier maneuverability in busy city streets and, of course, a more favorable fuel economy, 39 MPG combined to be exact.
Lexus UX 250h: 43/41 MPG (42 Combined) and Lexus UX 250h AWD: 41/38 MPG (39 Combined)
Keep going another step down the ladder of Lexus SUV sizes and you'll reach the UX. The most recent addition to the brand's lineup of SUVs, the UX is the most compact option the Japanese manufacturer offers. As such, the comparatively low curb weight of the UX 250h lends itself to a great fuel economy of 42 MPG. Opting for AWD, however, brings that number down to 39, which is narrowly more efficient than the NX350h.
Lexus ES 300h: 43/44 MPG (44 Combined)
The Lexus ES has long been the standard in the luxury sedan category. With the addition of a hybrid variant to the range, the ES becomes a supremely fuel-efficient model. The 44 MPG combined fuel economy allows owners to enjoy arriving in style without having to pay a fortune at the pump.
Lexus NX 450h Plus AWD plug-in hybrid: 84 MPGe Combined Electric and Gas
And the most fuel-efficient Lexus model of 2023 is hands down the plug-in hybrid version of the Lexus NX. The NX 450h Plus offers a fuel efficiency of 84 MPGe when combining gasoline and electric. Without adding electric charge, the combined fuel economy is estimated at 36 MPG, which is still pretty darn good. But of course, owners would likely not miss the opportunity to take advantage of the electric aspect of the powertrain whenever possible.
