1. It Fulfills a Promise

Once known more as an older gentleman's car than an exciting performance brand, Lexus has been working hard to crank things up a notch in recent years.  Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda made a promise to turn the luxury brand into an exciting nameplate that would court younger buyers with performance-oriented rides.  We've seen that in spades over the last few years, and it all culminates with the RC F GT3.

2. It's a True Turnkey Race Car

If you want to go racing in the RC F GT3, all you have to do is order one and wait for a giant box to show up on your doorstep.  OK, maybe the process isn't that simple, but it's pretty close.  The car does come shipped in a big wooden box and it's mostly ready to go, save for your team and sponsor graphics on the outside.

3. It Boasts An Impressive Weight to Power Ratio

The GT3 is certainly no slouch, with its 5.0 V8 pumping out 540 horsepower that only has to propel 2,756 pounds of car down the road.  That's more than enough juice to compete with the likes of the Porsche 911 GT3, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, and Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R, its main rivals on the circuit.

4. It's Already Won Its First Race

The latest Lexus racer wasted no time picking up its first win, claiming victory in its debut in the 9th round of the VLN season at Nurburgring.  The GT3 edged out the second place ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 by an impressive 33 seconds, despite being an all-new prototype.  It was a promising debut for what looks to be a car poised to rack up a lot of wins going forward.

5. It's Going to Be Everywhere

Lexus isn't playing around with its new toy and has a slew of races on the upcoming docket.  The newly renamed 3GT Racing Team will be participating in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, as well as running two cars in the 2017 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship series.  You can bet that this is only the beginning, as Lexus looks to quickly get a foothold in multiple racing series.
