3 Lexus Short Films to Watch Right Now
L/Studio's Short Films
L/Studio, created by Lexus in partnership with The Weinstein Company, has produced seven short films with seven different directors that explore various thematic styles, yet are all inspired by Lexus' philosophy that "life is an amazing experience." Seeing as these films are magnificently written and shot, it's likely they're the first among many more scripted productions from L/Studio. While Lexus cars do make appearances, and look awesome doing it, they take on more of a subtle supporting role. Here are my three favorite episodes.

Echoes (Episode 3)
Mysterious snapshots of lives separated by time and space make up this short, throughout which you wonder what possible commonality strings these people together. How can a drunken narrator, an astronaut, a new father in a bar, a girl in a swimming pool, a man perplexed by skateboarders, and a singer be related? It's only made clearer in hindsight.

Operation: Barn Owl (Episode 6)
Is there anything more tragic than unrequited love? Operation: Barn Owl explores one such tale, where a woman is tasked with helping her best friend propose to the love of his life. The problem? She's adored him since childhood. Amidst the elaborate proposal, each one of her longing gazes towards him is more gut-wrenching than the next, and for one moment, it seems as if she may reveal her true feelings when she finds herself face-to-face with her fantasy.

Market Hours (Episode 7)
I love how well this short captures the daily grind and livelihood of the Grand Central Market in L.A., following a security guard with a penchant for daydreaming about the vendors who reside there. Little does he know, he's very much a part of the daily narrative.
