Thus, the RX has only been treated to a few minor updates with each passing model year, and that will also be the case with the 2026 Lexus RX.

What's New for 2026?

The 2026 Lexus RX is getting just a few minor tweaks for the latest model year, which include the fact that wireless phone charging is now standard across the entire lineup. 

Additionally, the F Sport Handling and F Sport Performance grades (trims) can now be paired with the optional Appearance Package. New for 2026 is the Premium Grade as well, which is available on the RX450h+.

Appearance Package

The 2026 Lexus RX Appearance Package is based on the 2025 model year Black Line Special Edition Package, and is available on the F Sport Handling and F Sport Performance grades.

The new Appearance Package adds 21-inch black split five-spoke wheels, orange brake calipers, black exterior styling touches, and a black interior with gray stitching. 

For 2026, this package can be paired with one of five exterior colors - UItra White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Incognito, and Caviar.

Powertrains

As was previously the case, the 2026 Lexus RX can be had with one of four powertrain choices, including one gas-powered variant, two traditional hybrids, and one plug-in hybrid.

RX 350 (FWD/AWD)

The RX 350 comes equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder gas engine that generates 275 hp and 317 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with the eight-speed Direct Shift-8AT transmission.

RX 350h (AWD)

The RX 350h combines a 2.5-liter gas four-cylinder engine running on the Atkinson cycle with an electric motor and nickel-metal hydride battery to make a combined 246 hp and 233 pound-feet of torque. 

RX 450h+ (AWD)

The RX 450h+ combines a 2.5-liter inline-four cylinder gas engine with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery and two electric motors to deliver 304 total horsepower to all four wheels, along with up to 38 miles of estimated electric-only driving range. 

For 2026, all RX 450h+ models come standard with a Dual-Voltage vehicle-charging cable for 120V and 240V outlets, and all models are equipped with a J1772 (Type 1) socket for at-home and public charging. 

RX 500h F Sport Performance (AWD)

The RX 500h F Sport Performance also utilizes the same 2.4-liter gas engine as the regular RX 350, albeit with an electric motor and a high-output, low-resistance nickel-metal hydride battery to churn out a combined 366 hp and 406 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system.

Interior

The 2026 Lexus RX is available with six different interior color options: 

• Macadamia
  
• Black
  
• Birch
• Palomino
• Peppercorn
• Rioja Red

Additionally, one can choose from the following "ornamentation" styles:

• Black Cascade

• Dark Graphite Aluminum

F Sport Handling and F Sport Performance grades get a few unique touches as well:
