Keeping Pace

Fresh off a total redesign for the 2022 model year, the Lexus NX wasn't expected to change too much for 2023. However, eager to stay ahead of the pack in the heated compact luxury crossover segment, Lexus didn't just carry over the NX completely unchanged for the new model year - rather, it has received a few updates that aim to keep it atop the heap in that regard.

Tech Upgrade

Full of modern tech features like the Lexus Interface connected multimedia system, a standard 9.8-inch touchscreen and an optional 14-inch unit, the 2023 NX features standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Guests can charge and stream wirelessly with the optional wireless charger, which can also be stowed away to maximize storage.

Special Effects

Inside the cabin, the NX offers buyers a host of options including the nature-inspired Thematic Ambient Illumination, an optional feature that bathes the NX interior in a choice of 14 themes. Each theme has been carefully selected to express a full range of emotions and evoke a feeling of comfort, with themes including Rain Forest, Waterfall, and Sunset.

Powertrains

Powertrain options carry over unchanged from the 2022 model year and include a 2.4L turbocharged unit for the NX 350 that makes 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, the NX 250 and its naturally aspirated 2.5-liter making 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft, the NX 350h hybrid's 2.4-liter/electric motor combo making 239 hp, and the NX 450h+ plug-in with its 2.5-liter gas engine and an electric motor generating 304 hp.

F Sport Packages

For the 2023 model year, the F Sport Handling package is available on the NX 350 and adds Lexus' Active Variable Suspension (AVS), as well as front and rear performance dampers. Meanwhile, NX 350 and NX 450h+ buyers can get the F Sport Handling with the Luxury package, which adds the larger 14-inch touchscreen, unique headlamps, and Thematic Ambient Illumination.

Price Increase
