Shaving the front of calipers on 95+ ls400, Please help me

I am very anal on abnormal modifications to my car, so with that said here's my story. I bought a set of wheels with out knowing the offset, but the looked like they fit the 300zx they where on good and I got them for a GREAT PRICE, so I went with them(I know, pretty stupid, but hey, I'm new to the rwd world, live and you learn) Anyway I am in love with the wheels and the backs fit great. I tried 5/16 wheels spacers and it looks like that is just about right clearence, only problem, now I only have like 3 threads to mount the wheel on with and the front wheel sticks out about 5/16 farther than the rear(go figure, the rears fit hella flush). What I am getting at is the only way I see this happening is getting extended lug studs for all four corners and 2 more spacers for the rear and making it look really ugly or shaving the "beauty" hump off of the face of the caliper. I have searched and found a bit of information on this but not exactly what I am looking for. What I am really looking for is someone with a 1995+ ls400 that has shaved the hump off to fit wheels. I heard someone say they did it on a is300 and put 50k miles on it, but I want to find someone that did it on a ls400, Please help, thanks in advance

Sorry, I can't speak as a LS400 owner but here is what I've "read." I've read that some people shave a very small amount off the caliper (but only 2mm or so) so that the spokes of their wheels could clear. I don't recall anyone having issues after doing so, but personally, instead of adding another spacer on top of another spacer or shaving, I would just buy a single proper sized spacer with the extended lugs and save myself any headaches that might occur later.

get the longer threads, and spacers

I would never recommend shaving, trimming, or taking any material off your caliper housing... but hey to each his own

not familiar with the LS calipers, but it is generally regarded as safe to shave off raised lettering on the caliper, but nothing else...
