You should be able to fit up to a 275 tire with no problems...
These will fit a 3IS (i'm getting similar spec'd ZE40s) and i'm sure you could fit a 275, but you'll rub (if your car is lowered) unless you get camber arms or pull the rear fenders. To fit meaty tires on the back of a dropped 3IS you'll need some pretty high offsets (i.e. 19x10+55 or similar)

i'm getting 19x9.5+40 in the rear and i spec'd out that i could fit 255/30/19 without rubbing on RSR downs
