IMO platform is everything! then comes wheel choice and fitment! you can also be tucked or poked as long as your slammed! everything else should be to the owners taste!

while we're talking about VIP, are wheels with big (fat) lips are the one that can be considered as VIP ? and when you guys talking about wheel fitment/offset, are spacers also countable when the wheels offset are not aggressive enough ?

IMO
-wheels dont need to have huge lips as long as they compliment the car!
-5 and 10 mm spacers can go a LONG way to make any fitment just right!
-15mm+ spacers are a no-no it just means you dont care enough about the build to get the get the wheels fitted correctly!

Japanese run all kinds of spacers all day long on their VIP cars. Lips don't matter, concave wheels and full face are the trend lately. Stance and fitment...and you've got a good start with those 2 things.

Execution is key to it all... Build it and stance it how you want it to look and you'll be fine... There's no official rulebook...

i lived in a japan for a few years back in the early 2000's and the roads were very nice compared to the dc (baltimore) md va area i live now, we didn't have to worry about dips in the road, and if there was a pot hole it was usually fixed relatively quickly. the roads were not perfect but it definitely made it a lot a lot easier to drive slammed and on rubber band thin low pros without the fear of messing anything up. i comment on this all of the damn time, and i also hear it from my japanese wife all the damn time ,, "why are ur US roads so damn ****ty¿¿¿?" i don't know honey, let me go ask....

vip used to be just having a clean car that started with a good base or platform as someone eluded to. now the game is all over the place and so much that i am even getting confused lately. but i have to say that i love where it is today because there are so many options available to us today to make your car exactly like you want (your own unique customization), whereas a few years back there were less options and a lot less shops willing to do these crazy options...

but if i had to put vip in a box i would say the car has to be clean, it should flow and not just have a bunch of bolt on or stuck on trim pieces, if this means close to stock or a complete car then so be it. the most popular and common things on a vip car with mods today are things like wheels, grills, drop, dressup (aero) kits, stereos, exhaust tips, tint,, oh yeah and we can't forget the enormous window stickers

i gwess i'm not vip then cuz i don't have a big giant window sticker.

ur car is deff vip lkapimp,, btw that italian family taking turns posing infront of your car and taking pictures with it should tell you that it is a good looking car.

I've seen curtains and pillows. Do they make VIP blankets?

Vip is for sure not for a 2 door sports car in my opinion (z, supra, celica, soarer, s2k, etc.).

When I read "stance," I assumed it meant buffalo stance.

This is awkward. How do I undo this? It doesn't look right on the car at all.
