Default Why not these cheap Air Suspension kits?

Im new to air suspension and have been doing some research.

Here are some kits ive seen online. They are really cheap compared to UAS and Air Runner kits.

What would you add to these kits to make them complete/worthy, or if they are just not worth it it, why?

I was also wondering if anyone has a check list of everything you would need to build your own kit and maybe a set up that would be cheap(compared to UAS) and a good start.
Thanks Guys

Heres the Kits, ( i think the first 2 you need to add your own bags )

the first 2 are easy street setups but are everything but the suspension.
The other ones are crafters type stuff where it is modifications to all parts to make it fit .

Don't cheap out on your suspension. It makes the difference between a nice car and a piece of garbage. Ride quality is what makes a Lexus a Lexus.

Especially don't cheap on air suspension. Popped bags, or leaks, or crappy stuff will make you hate life.

Do it right or do it twice.

Or three times if you don't learn your lesson.

I think what he meant was that it comes with bags, the first 2 are air management systems only. The last two includes bags, but might not fit your application. If you own a car that has springs integrated with the struts, then those bags won't fit. You need bags with openings in the center for the strut to go through.

Also, when you do your research, find out the brand of each single part they are using and what kind of warranty they offer. Cheap valves and bags are notorious for leaking, lower end compressors fails or runs inefficiently after a while and you probably pay for what you get on switches and relays.

So if you are doing research, don't just research prices. Quality after all last longer and might even keep you safe.

Thanks guys and good advice V8_Artisto i did some more research.

I came up with a list of parts that i THINK is a complete kit, here it is

"Aero Sport" Bags By Universal Air- x4
5 Gallon Black Tank-x1
100% Duty, 80 Amp Solenoid-x1
200 PSI Preset Pressure Switch-x1
Lexus GS Billet Front Bracket Kit
Danz 1/2" valve-x8 ( are these any good quality wise? )
Vair 480 Dual Pack
EAI 5-switch Switchbox
300 PSI Gauge-x1
And then of course DOT approved lines and fittings

Does this seem like a complete set up? and are those Danz valves any good?

O yeh and do you guys know of a set of fitting with all the fittings id need, or a list of the fittings id need?

Google "danz air valves". From a quick search, all I heard was no problems.

As far as fitting are concerned, you are the only person that can determine that. Since you are the one designing the system. Best thing to do is pencil a simple schematic together to know whats needed. I'm lucky that homedepot is just around the corner, so I just make sure I have enough push lock fittings and DOT lines.

Some more food for thought for ya. You need to talk to some people that have air ride and specifically someone that is running valves versus someone that is running a manifold, also what size line are they running. And how each system performs. It really depends on what you want to do with it.

Up and down quickly, smooth ride, hopping, there's alot to factor in when deciding what to buy.

your list looks fine. For a regular setup.

But for instance I am building a setup for my 2GS right now and am going with small diameter line (1/4") and a manifold instead of individual valves at each wheel due to noise and quickness of operation. I want it slow and quiet. But if you want your system to operate quicker then you can change some things....

So I would recommend getting some opinions from guys that have had Air in a GS for awhile. This is our first Lexus we are bagging so I don't have any first hand knowledge with driveability in a 2GS.

Hope this helps...

I like the push-to-connect fittings.

I dont think you can. I tried 2 lowes and 1 home depot and no luck. I also stupidly bought air lines from there too.. Maybe if you are going a different route, but I have the UAS kit and nothing there works

Alot of lines arent rated to be at 200 psi. aswell . so you might be able to get some fittings ect from there but UAS is a call away and stock up on extra.

I have had my car bagged for a while with the guidance of V8 aristo and the foolishness or a Custom builder..

I have spend over 7600.00 just in my air setup so if you aren't sure reread what they are saying to help you.

Mostly you don't need to build your own kit if one is provided.. keep that in mind.. When I got my kit together airrunner was one of the few who offered anything but I wanted speed. also Uas was there to save me with just bags that i needed.

and if you called UAS they can order shocks for you too and send it all together but I am sure something still might to be welded even with the bolt up kit ? if you wanna ride low too and eventually we all wanna ride low.

I have Blitz Valves.. still holding up amazing aswell.
