Default Artisan Spirits Fenders with ducts for LS430?

I have a frustrating situation here....

To make the long story short, my purchase of Artisan Spirits Fenders (for UCF30) was arrived damaged by DHL (Crushed).

The situation is;
*DHL is paying for a replacement (good)
*DHL won't reimburse for the shipping charge, but offer to ship it for "free" but requiring to have the box protected by wooden crate (WTF)
* It will cost me additional $400 or so for the crate and added shipping costs due to the weight. (speechless...)

I am already in a deep hole (shipping cost was ridiculous...), and I may decide to recover some instead of keeping the new fenders...

My options are:
*Get reimbursement for the product
*Pay additional $400 to get new fenders and keep it for myself.
*Pay additonal $400 to get new fenders and sell it.

I found that Bulletproof Automotive can get them but it is a special order item. I couldn't find LS430's fender but found GS430's premium edition fenders for 1706.25 (assume plus shipping). http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=6278
Since mine is regular edition (more subtle imo), I imagine it would run for $1300 (plus shipping).

What do you guys think???

depends on your financial situation, if I were you I would just pay and get the fenders again,
you already went through the trouble, might as well get it and enjoy it for a while before you sell it for some money.

I know you ran into some bad luck, but I would just go ahead and get the fenders. I think that's bull that they won't reimburse you for the shipping charge. You paid to get what shipped.... crushed fenders??

Could have paid less and had a metal welding artist make an even nicer set for less.

Thanks for your comments. I just re-order it today.
I called Japan and re-negotiated with my smooth talk (hahahaha) and have them agreed to waive the additional shipping charge for the added crate.
