Default Yoko Tires

Since this is the VIP forum and most of the guys knows a lot about stretching their tires.....

I was just wondering if the Yokohama's S Drive is a good tire to stretch??

running 20x9 on the front and wondering to go 225/35/20 S Drive...but will Yoko make it look like "square"...

i know Falken 452s are the ultimate choice for stretching for strong side wall..but only comes in 235/30/20...

Thanks!

prolly, the stretch thread on VSC has a couple S-Drives up. iirc it doesnt run narrow or wide, but true to size.

Sidewall bubbles are typically caused by road hazards. Most tire companies
won't replace tires that have road hazard damage, but I suppose depending
on the circumstances they might.

I don't know much about the S-Drive, but my Advan Sports are definitely
on the w-i-d-e side. I put 305/25-20 on 20x11.5 hoping for a mild stretch-
the sidewalls are basically square with the rim.

i dunno where you got your info, but 452's have a WEAK sidewall. they are notorious for bubbles, cracks, and blowouts

a friend just got a set of 452s for his 20s.. 1 tire's sidewall ripped after 3 days of mild driving.. thats pretty ridiculous IMO

This is what I got back but he'll go more into depth on Monday.

"I’m not sure how the SDrive reacts to stretching, I’m sure it would be fine seeing it’s not a racing tire with an extra stiff sidewall. Wouldn’t hurt to try I guess".
