Default First Official Photos of the 2019 Lexus UX

The TNGA based 2019 Lexus UX subcompact crossover utility vehicle shows off before the Geneva Auto Show debut.
it’s expected to have two engine options available one being the dynamic force 2.0l naturally aspirated inline 4 cylinder engine with the option for either front wheel drive or a mechanical all wheel drive, the other being a 2.0l Atkinson cycle inline 4 cylinder engine with Lexus Hybrid Drive and a AWD option (rear wheels will be electrically driven). No official word if it will be imported into the U.S. market, but I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it was, as the tiny luxury SUV market is one the quickest growing car segments in the North America.

Interesting! Not as over the top as the concept but still looks good. Visually, It's like a cross between a smaller NX and the current Euro/home market refreshed CT on steroids. I would actually consider getting this and hope they bring it to the states. Any idea when the production model will arrive? Hopefully a Lexus UX forum will be started soon.

What exactly is a "dynamic force 2.0l naturally aspirated inline 4 cylinder engine"? I was hoping for a turbo 2.0 but I suppose they wouldn't use it as it would compete with the NX. And that dash is lifted from the Toyota CHR-not good.

They may offer the 2.0l turbo once they announce the Lexus UX is coming to the U.S. Market. At the moment these engines seem to be a catered towards the European market. Hopefully the UX does come to the U.S. market with the 2.0l Turbo in-line 4 mated to Toyota’s new awesome 8 speed automatic.

lexus enthusiasts describes the new dynamic force engine pretty well.

It appears from the Lexus Enthusiast site that the UX may get the new CVT.

It just look like Nx or Rx from the front. How big is the engine?

I'm really excited about the UX250h and I'm beginning to think this is my next car. Had a CT, loved that, and I checked the dimensions, this is slightly longer, wider, taller than a CT. And gets the same 38mpg. in a crossover. Not bad at all.

I expect it to go 0-60 in around 8 to 8.3 seconds. Maybe better?

The UX250h Hybrid F Sport, in my estimation, should cost around 43k.

however the base model should be around 34k.

Base engine is 2.5 N/A 4 cylinder pushing about 160 hp. features new CVT with direct gear for direct manual trans style take offs (no mushyness)

Hybrid 2.5 pushing about 181 or so?

2.0l is 168hp and 250h is 176hp.

Both should be considerably faster than old CT200h, but still not fast... around 8-8.5s i would guess.

Only 38mpg with 180hp in the Hybrid? How the heck does the 2019 ES hybrid get 215hp and 44mpg??

Out of all the compact SUVs in the market, my wife and I like UX the most. I heard it was the first SUV designed by a woman Chief Engineer Chika Kako in Toyota and we see a lot of feminine features on it. My wife currently drives a leased 2017 BMW X3, but I think we're going to commit and buy the Lexus UX 250H!

I'm really hoping base model starts at 30K and 250H F Sport at 35k. I'm looking to buy one under 40K OTD.
