TX350 Driver Profiles and Memory Seating
Can anyone explain how stored driver's profiles are *supposed* to work on the TX350?
On my prior MDX I had two numbered keys, my wife had key #1 and it was mapped to seating and mirror memory position 1; I had key #2 and it was mapped to position 2. Simple - unlock the car while holding key 1, seats adjust for position 1; similarly for key 2. This was really convenient, as we have vastly different seating adjustments - I can barely get in the car when the seats are in her preferre position. So the adjustment when opening the door is very useful to me.
On my 2024 TX350, the keys aren't numbered but each key is electronically unique and recognizable by the vehicle. The owner's manual does some handwaving on this and uses some very unclear language, so not clear if the above is even possible (seat adjustment when unlocking / opening doors). The car apparently can recognize keys, smartphones, and facial ID - but the latter two are apparently *after* getting in to the car? So I have questions - my dealer did not provide any guidance whatsoever. Can anyone answer these:
Thanks in advance for any help - I could (and probably will eventually) drive to the dealer for assistance, but the shop is about 40 minutes away so I'm trying to avoid the trip.

- Does each registered driver have to download the Lexus app and create their own profile to send to the car?
- Or is it possible to create multiple profiles in the app on just one phone?
- How are the various recognition modes prioritized? If I get behind the wheel while holding my wife's key and smartphone, will the car still recognize my face and adjust to my settings?
- How did / did your dealer help you set this up at purchase?
- Bonus question - who wrote the owner's manuals and why are they so awful?

i just push the seat memory button.
i spent a couple months trying to get it to automatically reset like my wife's old Honda Pilot and finally gave up. (My wife is 5'2" and i'm 6'2")
the phone and app connection seems to affect HVAC and display preferences mostly.
most of the time if I'm driving her car then she is riding with me and it connects to her phone instead of mine anyways. (PITA)
so i just completely disconnected my phone, deleted the app off it and push the seat memory button before getting in.
for reference.
initial setup at the dealership when it was new. (1 year ago) her iPhone connected right away.
my iPhone took an hour and 20 minutes of the tech and salesman trying before connecting with the app.

I have this issue. I did the steps in the video, but this morning to switch profiles I had to enter the car PIN. I have done the keyfob paring with the other key in our closed faraday box. Secondary, why do the seat memory buttons not work before I start the car? If my wife was driving last I cannot get in to start. The setting for pushing the seat all the way back is set in her profile but did not seem to work.
