Default TX350 vs RX350h – Real-World Highway Experience?

Hey Lexus owners,

I’m trying to decide between the TX350 and the RX350h and would love some real-world feedback, especially from those who’ve driven both.

My priorities are:

  • Highway comfort and quietness (I regularly drive at 120–130 km/h)
  • Ride quality and smoothness
  • Interior space (we’re a family of 4 who travel often)
  • Not too concerned about gas mileage — more focused on cabin insulation and noise

I test drove the RX350h and found it a bit noisier than expected on the highway — possibly due to the hybrid drivetrain and road noise. Wondering if the TX350 (with its 2.4L turbo and traditional transmission) is noticeably quieter and more comfortable for long drives?

Would appreciate any thoughts on:

  • Road/wind/engine noise at high speeds

i much prefer the non hybrid drivetrain.

currently own a tx350 at 21k miles. (Bought new)

had an RX350H for a loaner for 3 weeks.

rougher ride, slow acceleration, very limited cargo space.

I currently have the TX 500H hybrid. This setup has significantly more hp and torque. 366 hp and 406 torque with better mpg. Real world mpg’s ate 24.5 mpg city and 26.5 mpg highway. The hybrid also is a little quieter under acceleration since the electric motors take some strain off the engine.
