Dealer came around and offered me $3000 off the price of $67,695 (OTD) (Lexus TX 350 Luxury AWD) with the ML system, Technology, Heated and Vented 2nd row captain chairs, Cold package, Convenience, Wheel Locks, Cargo Net), I traded in my 2023 Camry XSE V6 for $37,000, So the math as follows 67K-(3K)-(37K) = 30K financed at 5.99%, The dealership wanted to give me $30K for the trade-in and I walked out and started driving home and he called me back stating OK I'll give you 36K for the trade-in, I reply look Im almost home, he replied would $37K turn you around, I replied Im on my way LOL
Here we are in Aug 2024. TX (and GH) frozen in time.
Is getting about 3% discount on MSRP, still considered fare discount?
My current TX350 build has MSRP of $67,535, so shooting for 3% discount somewhere in the $2,000'ish, a descent ballpark for discount these days?
no one really knows right now. demand might be through the roof but no one can buy one. or demand could have slowed down. typically lexus just below asking is a decent deal right now unless it is a car that is not selling. if you were talking about a GX, sticker would be a deal. if you were talking about their fully electric car they are fire sale leasing those....
you obviously have more wiggle room if you have a trade (can save some more on taxes as well dependent on where you live).
