Smaller flange tires - The solution for lightweight ?
Hello dear Ladies,
I have a very noobish question, but it's interesting to learn and widen my knowledges about tires.
I'm interested into buying a RCF. Very quickly, I will change the wheels and go for 20". At this occasion, I will have to change the tires. If I go for wider wheels, I will have to reduce the flange of the tire to fit with the factory settings. Whatever, a question came to my mind.
A 255/40/19 tire will be heavier than a 255/30/20 tire isn't it ?
If you reduce the flange, the tire should loose some logical masses. It seems logical for me.
Could someone confirm ?
