Keep or Change Tires
Hello, just purchased an 2007 ES350. The wheels appear to be 18" x 8" IS wheels on BF Goodrich G-Force tires 245/45/18. I am not 100% certain about the wheels being from an IS model, but think they are. I know they are Toyota because they have the Toyota stamp on the rim.
The car drives fine with a little road noise but overall smooth ride, it's just that now the tires look too big, specifically the side wall tread area. I also haven't found threads to show others that have used this wheel/tire size. I want to be certain it's safe to use this setup and it will not pose any issues for the car. I have searched Google and the Forum but have yet to find if whether this setup size is fine to use on this car. I've seen this tire size on the GS but haven't found info for it on an ES.
My preference would be to wear out the BF's first, then replace with some Michelin tires.
Appreciate any input.
