Surprised no one has mentioned these but I got between 25-30K on a set of Bridgestone RE-960. Fantastic in wet weather and also quiet.

Hey guys. I just bought my car (less than 1500 miles) used. The dealership agreed to buy new tires so I took it in to have them swapped. I had WORN kumho's and the ride was...rough, for a lack of better words. The new tires are Bridgestone potenza re760. I've only put on about 50 miles but they seem much quieter and the ride is vastly improved; consequently, the ride gas also turned too soft and "floaty."

I say this to summarize my very short experience and ask the question "is there any way of improving the handling by increasing/decreasing psi on the re760's? To help answer the question I can state that I am generally in the car alone and unloaded 95% of the time.

Hopefully someone is helped and I can grab some advice about my new tires!

I don't know about your tires but with my Yokohama S.drives I have run them at 35psi for a couple days due to the tire place and they felt way too soft and I felt nervous about rim protection. I now run them between 42 and 45psi with great results.

Thanks for the input j_three; I just lowered the PSI from about 42 to 34 in front and 36 in the back. The ride is MUCH better and I feel I have more control over the car (less floaty).

Although I didn't have to go to all the trouble of researching tires, I will tell you the Bridgestones are a safe bet. Good tire, quiet ride, smooooth.
