Default wheel fitment for a 98 es300

hey does anyone knows the size for the wheels and tire for a es300 98,because im planning to change my rims,but last time when i try on a 18x7.5 RH the rear struts hits the wheel...soo any suggestion and idea is greatly appreciated.

What offset are the rims, by chance? 7.5" wide wheels with the proper offset should clear fine. As was suggested, if the rears are tucked too far in (offset too high), you can use spacers. But, if you're buying new rims, try and go for an offset that won't rub. (something around 40-42mm sounds right, as I have 17" x 7" wheels with a 45mm offset and the fit is perfect, and they're tucked in just the right amount).
