Money is tight and there is a lot I want to do with my car. I have found a nice set of IS300 wheels that I was thinking of putting on my 92 SC400. Obviously these are far from my first choice, but they are chrome 17" wheels nonetheless. My time here in the US may be less than 9 months so I want to enjoy this time the best I can.

So, do u think they will fit without a problem (stock suspension for now!!!) and do u think it is worth it?? Please let me know asap as the guy is going to trade in his car tomorrow and needs to know asap.

I know I should just go to Vegas and party it up but there is a chance I will get to stay here ( visa problems).

So please give me your advice asap.

I think they look good, but I think i remember hearing that the IS300 wheels are pretty narrow. I say go for some GS chrome rims, because I'm pretty sure they're wider.

Before you do anything, know this. The stock IS300 tires are 215/45-17; the stock SC400 tire is 225/55-16. The IS300 tire is wrong for your car if you were planning on keeping them.

You will need 225/50-17 tires on the IS300 rims to keep within SC400 acceptable factory specs. This site can show you what you need to keep things right on your SC400. FYI, The stock IS300 rim is 7 inches wide, I think (someone correct me) the stock SC400 is either 6 or 6 1/2. You are not going to more narrow rim, it those IS300 tires that are narrow.
