ISDINGDONG,
I had the 18" model IVs in chrome on my SC430. I loved the look (See gallery). However, my wife hit a bump (about 1.5-2 inches high) where they had rotomilled the asphalt away up to a concrete bridge. We were in a construction zone doing 45 m.p.h.. It was what I would describe as an above average jolt. We had a slight shimmy in the car after that. I took it to the Lexus dealer to have the wheels balanced and aligned. They said all four of the wheels were bent. I sent them to a repair place to bend them back. They said the wheels were bent in the hub beyond repair and there was nothing they could do!!!! I've done a little informal research on this. I have talked to 3 different wheel repair places and 13 tire and wheel shops. None of them have ever heard of all four wheels being bent at once. Especially at such a low speed and impact. The Lexus dealer even said they would consider not selling L-Sportlines after seeing all four being bent. I called L-sportline to ask if they had had any problems with that wheel. The guy was rude, defensive, and a complete a---ole!!!! I wasn't asking for any deals or sympathy, just a simple answer. I will not buy another L-sportline product even though I think they are decent wheels. They didn't have any character when it counted and there are too many other good wheel manufacturers who want my money. Go to wheelexperts.com if you want to see some photos of L-sportline model IVs on a GS. Or, I posted 2 pics in the SC 430 gallery of my SC with them and another with 20s on it. Just my opinion and it's worth exactly what you paid for it. Zilch!! Good Luck. I'll sell you 4 bent ones real cheap!!!!
