Default steam rising from wheels!

Went to go wash our black GS 430(after a drive).

It has probably been sitting in the shade for 20minutes. I sprayed the wheels and the car with the hose and steam started rising from the wheels.
How bad is this? It kinda scared me cuz I knew it was still HOT in there.
What are the consequences?

Thanks a lot

Default Probably

Probably it was from the rotors. Sounds like they were still hot. My IS is Onyx and the black color doesn't help much. Assuming you didn't continue to spray water on the hot rotors your probably in the clear.

you should wait until the wheels and rotors have time to cool a bit before washing or rinsing the car. I would say about thirty minutes at least.

You would run a high risk of warping your rotors which leads to failing/cracking. They would rust therefore decreasing the life span of the rotor therefore not being as responsive when braking.
