Chrome peeling off...
I was looking at a set of GS300 chrome rims and really like them.
However, one of the wheels has a pretty bad chrome peeling problem (mostly on the outer edge). I don't mind driving around like this but the thing is, would the chrome continue to peel off until everything's gone on the surface of the rim? I am currently living in Sacramento and the weather here is mostly dry and hot.
What should I do with this problem? Rechroming them is out of question because I don't have the cash to do so right away.
Also, could anyone please recommend a good off the shelf chrome polisher/cleaner? The chrome on those rims are no longer shiny like new ones and I want something I can use to restore it to its original luster.
Also, does anyone know if it's okay for me to use 225/60/16 tires on the stock rims in place of my 225/55/16 ones?
Thanks in advance.
