es300 - what tires would be good
I purchased an ES300 almost 1 yr ago and I totally love it !!
I need to get new tires and I am so confused as to what to look for.
So far I have looked for all season, ultra high performrance ( i live in Chicago so I have to consider the snow ). I found ones that I like - Dunlop SP Sport 5000, as it rated very well. But then someone pointed out the design and I felt that it may look too 'sporty' on my es300.
any suggestions ????

I just bought some new tires after getting a flat with my OEM Bridgestone Potenzas RE92. I did a quick search on www.tirerack.com (they have a lot of reviews) and some other websites and decided to buy the Bridgestone Turanza LS-Hs. I was also looking at the Dunlop Sport A2. I have less than 50 miles on them though, so I can't really offer any input yet.

dunlop sport 5000
i have dunlop sport 5000 tires on mine....got em put on only about 2 years ago and apparently, the tread on my front two is already so low that theyre illegal to have on my car, and my back right tire has a bubble in it.....im gettin all 4 of em replaced within the next week or so....im not really THAT aggressive of a driver, i dont peel out and screach my tires much...the guy told me these tires are for high speeds and theyre more responsive and all but the tread life isnt very good....i dunno if hes ltellin the truth or just tryin to persuade me to buy more expensive tires.....the point is that i havent had the tires for very long and i gotta get em replaced soon.....im lookin into the dunlop sports a2's

Indomex- that's a strange situation...is the alignment/camber setup ok?
jazzy- Firestone Firehawk SH30's have served me very well through the Chicago winter. I was even able to handle ice and sleet better than my friends' 4x4's. One gripe: $$$$ Expect $450+ for a full set, but tread life is very good.
Next up I'm looking at Kumho Ecsta's (very popular series on Tirerack). It's said to be an excellent tire for the money at just $40 a tire!!!

yea my alignment was set up pretty good, i think.....i mean, i get my alignment done every time i get my oil changed and all that, so i dunno.....which are better in your opinion: dunlop sp 5000 or dunlop sport a2's....and if not either, then other suggestions would be good too.....keep in mind, i dont hafta worry bout snow or any of that....thanks

sport A2
I've had SP5000 and Sport A2 on my previous Camry. The ES I have now came with SP4000.
The SP5000 have a different tread for the 15" tire compared to the unidirectional that is on the larger size.
I'm gonna get a set of Sport A2's when mine need replacing. I love the (lack of) road noise and has a nice ride to it. Plus the A2's are little less expensive.

A2's vs. SP5000's? Where is this $40 tire?
