so i hit a sidewalk's curb pretty hard on my brand new Lexus Rx350. Damages can be seen in above attached photo. I brought my car to the dealer today asking if it can be fixed and covered under my Tire & Wheel protection plan I bought at the time of vehicle's purchase. The service guy told me they won't be able to fix it at the dealer and recommended me to find a thrid-party company. Is it really? I thought curb rash just requires some repainting?

Is the Tire&wheel protection able to cover for this? Has anyone tried some wheel shops outside and been able to get reimbursed from Lexus warranty?
