Lexus’ Tire and Wheel Protection Plan Coverage

I didn’t find any threads that answer these questions and calling the dealership was not helpful at all.

First, will aftermarket wheels be covered under the Tire and Wheel Protection Plan?

Second, will aftermarket lowering springs (tanabe) void the Plan?

Thanks.

Go in and talk with the sales manager with your purchase contract about the warranty coverage. They can clarify what options are covered for your warranty. You'll want the car in stock or as purchased condition to have full warranty.

If the Lexus dealer installs the optional Lexus equipment tire wheel package then you are covered, get that verified though. If you purchase the wheel package at your chosen shop and they install, Lexus is not obligated to cover those non-Lexus items under their warranty.

Gray area if they install the lowering springs so discuss with service writer and service manager about this coverage and have that written and signed. Aftermarket springs if there is a problem they will cite that it may have been incorrectly installed causing or resulting in damage. Or the part is of inferior quality to the OEM springs. If your chosen shop installs the springs or other suspension parts, that will not be covered under the Lexus warranty. The fine print that is deep in the warranty paperwork will detail exclusions and terms of warranty coverage.
