OZ 18" rims ( Arterius? )
I'm considering an SC430 with these 18" OZ wheels. Does anyone have any idea of the added value they should bring. The seller will also include the stock rims as well. I'm getting closer to owning my SC!
Thanks

Golfkwesi,
I looked at imotorgear.com and the 18" OZ anteres sell for $303.60 new. I'm guessing those are the ones on the car. How much it's worth depends on whether you like them or not. They do look better than the pie plates and are nice wheels. If you like the pie plates, take them, but I'd tell him to keep them and sell you the car at normal price and not charge extra because you are getting used OZ wheels and he can try to sell the pie plates to offset the cost of the OZ. Drive a hard bargain. If you ever want pie plates later, you can get them on Ebay cheap. Just my opinion. It's worth what you paid for it...nothing!!!

Golfkwesi,
There was an earlier thread on this from John1968, a new Lexus owner, who was considering the O.Z. Antares wheels. General concensus was that a fuller faced wheel looked better on the SC430. I believe he decided to go with the O.Z. Opera II's like I put on my car. I know everyone has different tastes, but I'm really happy with the look. They will cost you more, but it's worth it. The wheels themselves are beautiful and they are lighter than the stock pie plates, so handling is somewhat improved. Here's a pic...

Yes, still 18"s. The only drawback is that they are not compatible with the tire pressure sensors. I really didn't care since I replaced the runflats with Michelin Pilot Sports (non-runflats) a few months ago. The Michelins make a HUGE difference in ride/handling. The car is SWEET without the runflats.

golfkwesi,
I posted a photo in the gallery of a white SC430 with 19" OZ antares wheels. At least that's what I was told. I'm sure you've already seen photos, but thought you might like another. If it's not exactly them, they are very similar. I think they look great. Everybody has their opinion, but I like the more open wheel look myself. You'll do great whatever you choose. It's hard to make an SC look bad!!! Good luck!!!!
