Questions on Enkei and Kruz
My search for the perfect wheel continues. What can you guys tell me about Enkei wheels. I have a little knowledge about them and I think they are pretty good quality. Is that right? How about Kruz brand, I'm figuring that they aren't the Enkei quality. Am I correct about that too? Any other info on these two brands would be great. Thanks guys

I'm looking at the LM 1-5 model. it's a pretty simple 5 spoke. I'm going to do photoshop a couple different wheels when I get some time, but I think these will look pretty good on my ES.

Enkei wheels are nice but they are not strong at all. I have a set of 18" Aegis sitting in my garage right now that's bent from one little pothole. I feel for the 3K I spent on them, they should hold up a little better than that. In addition they are very hard to balance, the wheels that I had never really balanced correctly. I always had a vibration at higher speeds.
But maybe your luck will be better that minds. Plus you are looking at a different set of wheels than I had.
Good Luck

I have to disagree,
I have the Enkei LM1/5s wheel on my ES. I have inadvertantly hit several potholes and iron plates and several spots where the pavement endes abruptly with a 2 inch drop or rise due to resurfacing. Not a single dent or bend. Mind you I don't/won't make it a habit of hitting these. And they were hit at normal speeds for the road (20-40mph)
Also, I am running Toyo Proxes FZ4s which supposedly have a reinforced sidewall, so this may have helped.
I have no complaints on the Enkeis.

I second that steviej,
I have Enkei G-Zero's 18x7.5"f and 18x8.5"r, and they've been great, no problems whatsoever, proper offsets as well for the Soarer. Only problem is that they're now way to common... thanks Mr. Knock-Off!!
