Question Bridgestone S-03 and Pirelli quesion

I'm currently running bridgestone s-03's both front and rear. 245 and 275 respectively.

i need to replace one rear tire in the 275-30-19 size. my question is, would it be bad if i get a different brand tire for the rear? Does the tread wear pattern and revs per minute affect the car in any way? i'm thinking about buying just 1 pirelli asimmetrico (sp?) tire. Thanks.

Oh yes, I would get 1 new s-03, but i'll be saving about 75 if i get the pirelli. thanks!

D...on ultra high performance tyres, it is recommended that all 4 of them match..BUT, you probbly do not drive over 100mph..personally, i think it would not ruin anything

I'd say for normal everyday driving, you'd be okay....but now if you're performance driving, there would probably be a problem...especially with different rates of grip from the mismatched tires.

Would this extend to pairs? I am running Michelin Pilots now but were planning on moving to S-03s. I need to replace the rears first. Would it be the same case for replacing pairs at a time?

Thanks.

I would say that you're in a better position by replacing pairs at a time....rather than just one.
