My 90 LS400 has a 50 mm offset-the 5 spoke OEM 17" wheels are 38 mm offset (what i've been told) will these work on my LS400? I'm new to this game Thanks all!

Are you thinking of IS300? The ES has never had 17" wheels, the largest stock size has been 16." As for the IS wheels (sounds like you're describe the 5-spoke 17" wheels), I believe the offset to be +50mm. I remember seeing another 1st Gen LS owner asking the same thing the other day. I'm not sure what the acceptable range of offsets for a 7" wide wheel is for you car, sorry.

It is an 01 IS300 not ES300-so if my stock rims have a 50mm offset and these 17" rims also have a 50mm offset,is swapping them a slam dunk?
