well, since you posted yours, i'll post some for reference as well.

left is a 275 on a 10", right is a 245 on an 8.0", and a lesson on white balance

you can see the left has little tire, and hence, slight rashes on the edges

Brav, just because there's no tire over the lip doesn't mean that your tire is stretched... Your tire actually looks perfect IMO just the way a tire should fit....

true, it looks alright. but your picture does seem to be more "stretched," you know? but i'd still like the beefier look of a 285. i'll have to ask you about your setup that doesn't rub one day

GS4DOUGIE, you havent' replied, you have 275/45/19 in the back? that's way out of spec right?

mr sypher, yours is just like the one i saw. if you look at the vertical look, , the tires comes out of the lip, but then curves in very fast. that i don't really like. on my car, the sidewall is vertical, and the almost right angle in

damn i don't have my car with me

Yeah I see what your saying guys... But to me it doesn't seem stretched.. I guess when I say stretched I mean stretched... Like a 255 on a 10" rim, now that's stretched... But also that look works well with bigs rims because it gives a look like the tires are thinner then they actually are... Which puts more emphasis on the wheels...

haha if it's something like 255 on 10s then there is some very serious traction problem i suppose

btw, how wide is your front rims?

Default Spec?

Rom-

In order to answer your question, I need to know what spec is?? Frankly I have no idea-

I bought the rims and tires used from a CL member. With regard to rubbing issues I have none, but if they are in fact lager than recommended spec, I trust it would affect the speedometer right, plus overall ride height. Does anyone know to what degree the difference in the speedometer would be?

Happy with the set up none the less

well i know the spec for 19 is 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. some people go with 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 fat setup, which is the same size with 20" and 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. the fat setup will have a better ride quality but when lowered sometimes it will rub. if you really have 275/45/19 in the back, then your speedo would be quite off i think. so when you see 80mph on speedo, watch out, you might be doing 85 already

Default Feelin' really stupid

Gents-

I owe you all an apoligy (sp). Guess what? After spendin the afternoon washin the rig and detailin the outside, I do in fact have the fat set up on my rears. Not the set up as posted previously. For Rom and sypher and bravo, here's is what I have on my 98 GS4 with stock suspension-

HRE 19" 543

F-245/35/19 on 8.5" Potenza SO3'S

R-275/35/19 on 10"

Nothin like feelin' like a total Moron

D

Sorry again for the confusion

A fat set-up would be and 245/40 in the front and a 275/35 in the rear.... You have a regular set-up that any Joe-shmo rim shop would give someone.

Default Next set?

These tires are relatively new (3K) miles on them approx with buyer use and mine combined. So what is the suggested size for tires when I shop for replacements so I can be sure not to flounder? Same on the rear? Different size on the fronts?

What tire pressure are you runnin? My fronts seem to be wearin to quick on the outside, near the lip of the rim. I am runnin too low tire pressure or too high?

Thanks for your input-

D
