wondering if anyone knew if this type of wear was regular..

ive had my gs3 since 2001, OEM 17's and OEM rubbers (forgot the brand,..)
anyways, i drive spritedly often and my rear right tire deflated on a mexican highway, summer of 2002.
i put on the spare.... im getting off topic... haha .... so my two rear wheel's tread looks alright,
but on the two front, the tread near the outsides is severe, good thing i noticed because it's bald,
right on the outer areas.. i guess im gonna have to do something about it, what do you guys recommend..
im leased by the way,
also, is this pattern of tire balding normal, or maybe its how i drive... what do you guys think on that?
hmm.. it just seemed weird to me that theres terrible wear on the outer part, and not the opposite side
the side i talk about is the side you see from the outside, the area that has the visible part of the rim
i hope its not too hard to visualize and i have no pic.. but i hope one of you guys could gimmie some pointers!
