Default Filling the fenders

Hey everyone,
We have just purchased a sc300 and are looking for some aftermarket wheels for it. I want wheels that will fill out the fender well much more than the stock ones do. Most of the wheels I have been looking at are 18s. My question is, will 18x8.5 rears fill out the fender more or will it still make the rear end look like its sitting on wheels to skinny for the car. If anyone has pics of 8.5in rear wheels mounted on an SC please post.

sthe SC could take some pretty wide tires in the back, i believe 10" but Bob from HRE said 11, but he seems to also like rolling the fenders.

but i'd say just go with a 9.5" like many SCs and GSs

8.5 is rather narrow on the back. You can easily support a 10" wide wheel...

Also, OFFSET is a MAJOR factor in filling the fenders...I can make a 7" wheel "fill" the fenders...but the skinny tire would be pathetic for a RWD car.

Anyways, use the search engine and look of OFFSETS so you can get a better understanding of how stuff is. We have discussed this topic about a billion times. Maybe two billion...

offsets...it'll take all those two billion to get an understanding for newcomers. people here keep referring to tirerack for an explanation of offsets, so there's another tip for you
